Every morning my husband, Walter, and I read from some inspirational book. We then pray together and go about the day merrily. This morning’s chapter was from the book we’re currently reading, If, by Mark Batterson. A page turner that will inspire you to reach new heights and think out of your little box.
What grabbed my heart this morning was this one word he mentioned: Hupernikau.
This catchy word means “more than conquerors”. I promise it sounds better the more you repeat it. Apparently, according to Mr. Batterson, this is where Nike got their catchy name. But this means more than “just doing it”, it means “doing it AND kicking its butt”. Okay, that’s my interpretation. But, isn’t that what Paul meant in Romans 8:37 when he just threw it out there: Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
We can! With Him in our court, we can write that book and sell a million copies… but He must be in it, though. As followers of Jesus Christ, Yeshua our Messiah, we learn to be sensitive to the voice of Holy Spirit, and if He says “Hupernikau!”, then He means you can overcome your fears and failures. You can reach that dream. You can climb that mountain. You can fulfil that calling on your life, because you are MORE than an overcomer. Don't you forget it!
Very encouraging! 🙏🏻
