This book is about a search for meaning, truth, and happiness. Leela was born into a traditional Christian family and educated as a lawyer. She seemingly had it all. In her thirties, she underwent an existential crisis when she realised that although she enjoyed outward success, there was an inner emptiness that nothing could fill.
Disillusioned with the church and with her career, Leela renounced the secular world and embarked on a spiritual journey of discovery, accompanied by her husband, Maurice, who accurately predicted, “Things will never be the same again.”
Her quest led them to many exotic destinations in India, Asia, Europe, and Central America as she explored different religions in her pursuit of truth and enlightenment. Her journey was like following a golden string that took her on mysterious and adventurous roads and led her to a destination she could not have predicted.

Leela Verity lives in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, where she runs a guest house called White Rock Retreat.
She is also available for talks at churches or small groups and can be contacted here directly.

We are truly excited to present to you this very interesting memoir of Leela Verity's journey of spiritual discovery.
This book is probably one of our most important publications, in the sense that it honestly and with an open mind explores various Eastern religions and answers many questions Christians might have but are too afraid to ask, and they might be too afraid to delve into other religions. It also answers many questions non-Christians may have... for the same reason.
Leela tells her story beautifully, but with raw honesty about what she has experienced and felt during each phase of her journey of discovery towards truth and divine love... as and how she understood and experienced it back then, which adds to its authenticity.
This book will provide you with an in-depth view through the first-hand account of someone who has not merely studied other religions on the surface but, with an open, seeking, hungry heart, has fully immersed herself and practised them with heart and soul... for decades.
If anyone in your family or circle of friends has any questions regarding Christianity versus Eastern religions (New Age, Buddhism, Interfaith, Yoga, etc.) then this book will help them in ways that few others can - as this is a powerful, unbiased personal testimony.
